Can you speak into my right ear please?
Youth on Friday night was pretty low key. We got bumped from upstairs so Steve had to improvise. We played a couple games and then watched Mr. Deeds. Steve didn't have time to preview it so he was cringing a lot about the number of swears in the movie. Poor guy.
Saturday morning a bunch of us helped Toby and Alysha load up a U-Haul and saw them off. The work went pretty fast despite having to climb up and down a long, narrow staircase. It all went pretty smoothly and I know I appreciated the pizza they bought us for lunch.
After getting home and playing on my computer for a bit I laid down to catch a quick nap. Well after getting up I couldn't hear at all with my left ear. For the past two weeks I've been waking up with blockage in my ear but it normally goes away after I eat breakfast or play with my ear for a minute. Well let's just say it hasn't really gone away at all this weekend. I was a little worried about singing last night with only one ear, but I was fine. Well as fine as one can be after breaking two strings in one night. The first one broke, so I ripped it off and continued on only to have the second string break two songs later. Talk about frustrating. Luckily Pastor Josh has his guitar in his office so I borrowed it... without telling him. Heh heh.
I put some warm mineral oil in my ear a couple times to try and loosen up the blockage but it didn't help a whole lot. I had plenty of wax come out, but not enough since my ear is still mostly blocked right now. The only relief I had was after singing during the service last night. Luckily I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon anyways because I needed some prescriptions refilled. Bring on the ear pump!
Matthew.

Wow, that's rough!! Let us know how it went with the ear pump! (I had it once, and it was quite the experience to hear again! Everything seemed so LOUD!!)
Take care,
Teresa
