My Adventures in WoW

So jokingly the other day I said I'd post some screen shots from my adventures playing World of Warcraft. Well tonight I was bored so I figured why not? I'm pretty sure that some of you have never seen anything like this.

Well this is me. My character's name is Corban and I'm a Tauren. Tauren are basically 8-feet tall walking cows and bulls. My character's class is a Hunter which is basically like a Ranger (i.e. Strider from LOTR). So I commune with nature and all that jazz. One of my skills is being able to tame just about any animal I find roaming around in the wilderness.

My best friend in the game is a wolf I tamed whom you see pictured above. I call him Wolfy. He helps me in battles and he follows me around everywhere. I just have to keep him well fed or else he'll start gnawing on my leg or something.

World of Warcraft has a lot of fun things you can do. All the equipment you get changes the appearance of your character so if you're wearing a metal breast plate, then your character will have one on. You even have the freedom to pick the color of shirts and such that you wear allowing for color coordination. There are all kinds of trades that you can learn like leather working and blacksmithing which lets you make your own armor and weapons. Generally the hand made equipment is better than what you can find in stores. You just have to have the patience to find, or the money to buy, all the required ingredients.

There are also "emotes" that you can do with your character allowing you to express yourself through animations. You can make it look like you're sleeping, act like a chicken, kneel, and so on. So as a bit of fun I decided to "emote" in front of a computer controled player in one of the large Tauren cities called Thunder Bluff.

Here I am trying to impress this Tauren chick. I mean you never know when I'll need a date for the Tauren Ball. You'd think she'd be impressed with my big bovine muscles, but she wasn't having much to do with me.

I even resorted to begging but she still wouldn't even talk to me or look me in the eye. That was pretty depressing. All the other Taurens were laughing at me. So me and Wolfy went back into the wilderness to pout for a spell. :D
