My Little Nephew
His name is Brady Benjamin Beaulieu. I'm not positive of the spelling they chose so don't quote me on that. After supper, my sister Jen and I went to go see him. Jen had basically just gotten in from Toronto for the weekend.
Brady is incredibly precious. He's a very quiet baby so far. But man it's horrible to think of what those foreceps might have done to him. His face is all bruised up and one of his eyes is swollen closed. At one point his head was all misshaped but when I saw him it looked pretty normal. I can't seem to get past how disturbing those foreceps are. I mean all you hear when you're around a new born is to be careful of the neck. But then here the doctor is pulling the baby out of the birth canal by the baby's head with metal tongs. I understand that there is nothing else they can do if the baby is stuck, but it doesn't make me feel any better.
Christi-Ann and Dwight were doing quite well when we were visiting. Christi-Ann is obviously sore and has a hard time sitting, but their spirits are quite high now that Brady can stay in the room with them. I know they were both quite stress when Brady stopped breathing and started turning colors. It happened when Christi-Ann was feeding him. They didn't get much sleep I'll tell you that, but hopefully they did tonight. Once they get home they will be quite busy people looking after Brady and dealing with visitors. But it's obvious that Brady won't lack for attention from his parents or the rest of his family. Hopefully I'll have a picture or two soon.
Matthew.

i'm glad to hear that brady is doing better. i'll pray that the forceps didn't do any permanent damage. i was a forceps baby...wait, i'm not normal, so that's probably not too comforting!...LOL forceps were used on both of my siblings as well, actually...apparently mom wasn't too good at getting us out without a little help. can't wait to see pics of your precious nephew. i'm going to see collin tomorrow, so maybe i can get some new pics of him up on my site. i can't believe he'll be 3 weeks old tomorrow!!
