The View From Here
A beautiful woman outside my office window.
How long do I look?
How long do I gaze?
I write this as I hide behind my screen
Just have to look up an inch or two
And there she is again
I steal another glance
Our eyes have yet to meet
Do I want to be caught looking?
If and when I do
Should I look away
Or give her a timid smile?
A toss of the hair
A crossing of the legs
As she stares at nothing in the distance
She leaves the chair to go to her interview
And then another one arrives to wait her turn
Our eyes meet and I give her a smile without even thinking
lol I'm such a dork
The more I analyze something
The more I doubt, question and second guess
I need to trust God more in my singleness
Trust that He'll show me who I'm going to marry
Instead of me being always on the prowl
Matthew.
