Hooray for snow
Last night we got our first real snow fall. We've had a couple dustings that melted once they hit the ground but last night we ended up with about an inch of the fluffy white stuff. Most people are complaining about it but I'm glad the snow is here. It's late coming if you ask me. Winter just isn't winter without snow. You should have seen the people trying to make it up and down the hill in front of our house last night. I know my parents stood there staring out the window for about 30 minutes telling the drivers, who couldn't hear them, to slow down.
And now that the snow is here I have to start thinking about buying Christmas presents. Well that's not completely true since I already bought my parents their gifts - DVDs from Future Shop's online store. I'm really hoping I can get all my shopping done online since shopping is one of my least favorite things to do. The thing is I don't know what to get my two sisters or my brother-in-law. It's hard enough walking through a mall looking for ideas let alone surfing through the web with the same purpose.
Tomorrow night the band is playing at a city-wide youth event. It's been a while since we've played for a younger crowd and I'm excited because it's a crowd I enjoy playing for. All too often our gigs seem to be for the wrong type of people. Hopefully my voice is up to the task after having this cold.
Oh and Happy Thanksgiving to all my crazy American friends. :D
