I'm Still Alive

I know it's been a while since I've updated and I apologize. There just hasn't been anything interesting going on as of late. Well I guess that's not completely true since work has been pretty busy. I discovered a critical flaw in our web applications that will need to be address, but this is a huge can of worms. I've fixed our login system, but it's a very small step since basically all our applications need to be re-written.

No updates to give in regard to my job or the house hunt. I've been pretty discouraged about the house thing lately. It's just so overwhelming how much the realtors and banks are just out for your money. I value my parent's opinion so it's tough when their first comment about an add that I show them is how "small" the house is or how "old" it is. I wish I wasn't so scared to pick up the phone and call or realtor or a house owner. I guess watching friends trying to sell their houses, I know how important those phone calls are to them and how discouraging they are if nothing comes of it.

So yeah... I'm definitely feeling depressed today. The monotony of work is getting to me again. Tomorrow night we're taking the youth group bowling. I'm looking forward to that so I can unwind a little.

I'm also hoping to see Serenity this weekend, but I'll have to find someone to go with me. The movie is a continuation of the excellent FireFly TV series that didn't even last a whole season because Fox didn't know what a gem they had on their hands. You don't need to have seen the series though to understand the movie. They'll be a proper introduction of the characters and such. If you're looking for something to do this weekend, check out the movie. It's going to be sweet.

Matthew.
