Quick Update from TO
The training has been going pretty well. Monday and Tuesday was Part 1 of our two part course this week. Our instructor was a pretty interesting guy so it made the point and click exercises a little more bareable. Just like last time, with the detailed manuals they give us it doesn't leave much for the instructor to do. We also had 5 other classmates for those two days which was nice. George and I exchanged emails with two people there from a software company in Waterloo. I'll definitely be sending an email to the very cute girl. Her 54 year old male co-worker? Probably not. ;)
Today George and I started Part II alone and with a different instructor. Nanci is pretty cool. Since it's just George and me we can go at our own pace and Nanci has even been re-working some of the examples to be more applicable to the Education sector. Today we ended an hour early and were ahead of scedule so it's looking like we may be done by lunch on Friday.
This evening George and I went to a Blue Jays game. That was the first proffessional sporting event I had even been to. It was fun, but getting there and finding a place to eat was a little more than I could handle. I was tired and my legs were aching from trying to keep up with George. I was probably a little short with him while we tried to find the ticket office and a place to eat. Taking the subway was cool too. It's been a while. Going to the game definitely reminded me why I don't like large crowds. For $35 we got some pretty good seats at field level. The Jays even beat the Yankees to keep them from clinching the division.
Well it's getting late and I'm wiped from a long and eventfull day. Friday after training I'll be going staight to the Barber's so you may not hear from me until I'm back home in Sudbury.
Matthew.
