Back to Toronto For Training
This week has been pretty typical so far. It's been hard being motivated lately - be it at work or even in life. I haven't been looking all that hard for an apartment and yet I complain that I can't find one. I complain about my job, yet some of the boredom is my own fault. The friends thing has been tough though since there's not a whole lot I can do about that right now. With things back in full swing at church, Steve is plenty busy again.
Youth starts back up tomorrow night. Our church is hosting a city-wide youth concert. I'm not sure how much I'll need to help out, but I imagine I'll find out tomorrow. I kinda wish we were doing a first event with just our youth, but oh well. We're keeping the same split between the Junior (grades 7-10) and Senior (11 & 12) youth this year. We'll be alternating events for them every other week, and holding a mid-week Bible study on Wednesday nights. Our only problem so far is finding a female leader to help out. Paul is decided to help out this year. Steve and I are anxiously awaiting Paul to get married in Feb and have Kate, his soon-to-be-wife, move up here so we can steal her for youth. :)
Next week, September 18th to 22nd, I'll be in Toronto again for more software training. George is coming with me again, but we're taking separate cars this time. This way we'll have a little freedom in the evenings while we're down there for the whole week. Plus I'm planning on spending the weekend after with Dana and Andy. George booked us at a better hotel so I should have wireless internet in my room. I have to remember to ask about borrowing a laptop from work for the week. No internet for a week would be rough being stuck in a hotel. Especially cause I can use Skype to save on long distance calls. My DS will definitely be making the trip - might be time for a new game. :D
P.S. - I returned the DVD player.
Matthew.
