You Can't Stop The Signal

Well another interesting weekend has come and gone. I'll never quite understand how the weeks fly by despite how my hours at work seem to crawl by most days. I finally brought my TV in to the shop to get it fixed. About a month ago it decided to stop showing red. Not all the time, but enough to be pretty frustrating. Sometimes I'd have to turn the TV on and off five times before the red would kick in again. Poor TV. Well at least he won't be lonely with all the other broken TVs around him in the shop. I've gotten used to having my TV around so it will be interesting to see how I cope for the next 7 to 10 days.

I was finally able to see Serenity this weekend. And man am I ever glad I got to see it. Joss Whedon knows what's up. It's jam packed with humor, action, and emotion. It's a movie that has great humor throughout the whole movie instead of just one or two places like most movies seem to do these days. Just when you think things can't get any worse for the crew of Serenity, they do. It may be a sci-fi flick, but the emphasis is on the characters and not the special effects. It's in the cheap theatre now here in Sudbury so go see it on a big screen while you still can. Otherwise I'll be coming to your house once the DVD is released to make you watch it... along with the TV show, Firefly, that the movie is based on. ;)

Friday night at youth we're going to the radio station to hang out. It should be fun, but I have to come up with a costume since Halloween is just around the corner. I'm bad at coming up with creative ideas. It's so tempting to go and pick up a Darth Vader suit or something. Heh heh. Actually my ultimate costume, if money was not an option, would be some authentic suit of armor from the middle ages. Something like we see in Lord of The Rings. I just wanna feel what it would be like to wear something like that. Someday maybe I'll get a chance.

Matthew.

  • few suggestions:

stick cotton balls all over you and have a spray bottle... "partly cloudy with showers"

one guy I know made a pretend table that rested on his shoulders, and wore a lamp shade on his head (so he was a table lamp) he got a married friend to give him an empty box of condoms and taped it to the table... "one night stand"

    and my personal favorite...
tape barbie dolls all over you to be a "chick magnet"

    ;)
Manda sent me to your site.
