About This Sunday

Well last night at band practice we tried out a new drummer. It was the first time all summer we've had a practice with a full band there and man was it ever nice. Well Chris our bass player was away, but Toby can play either electric or bass. The drummer is quite good, but quite different than what we're used to. So some of his cymbal crashes and stuff caught us off guard. I know it made me jump a few times, heh heh. He definitely knows what he's doing though.

The reason we had a full band at practice? We're doing worship at All Nations on Sunday morning for the first time since before Easter. I'm pretty excited cause we'll have a guest speaker and I'm expecting a lot of people to show up ready to meet with God. The church has been pretty dead over the summer. The worship team has been small in number and has done totally over-used songs for most of the summer and well the summer speaker is boring. He's got a lot of passion but he just rambles on and ends up all over the place. Our guest speaker for the next two weeks is Pastor Phil Messenger from Florida and he's a great speaker. He's been coming here for the last few summers and he's really a part of our church family. Last summer he was here for several months while our pastor was on sabbatical.

If any of you are interested, you can listen to our service over the internet. Just goto CJTK, our local Christian radio station, and click "Listen Live" on the top left corner of the page. The service runs from 10am to about 11:15am EST. The sound mix isn't always that great, but I'll be singing mostly the male harmony if you can pick me out. If think you can even listen to old services if you click on our pastor Jeremy Mahood's picture. So if ya miss it you can still listen. Too cool. :D

Matthew.
