Ye Old Weekly Update

Nothing overly exciting has been going on lately. Wish it felt like my life was going somewhere, but right now it seems like I'm still stuck waiting. But how long so I wait for? Is it time to give up on looking for a house and start looking at renting a place? It's so hard to tell whether God is giving me the wait signal or the no signal. I'm mean how long can I continue complaining about living with my folks and not actually act on moving out? Aside from the "fun" of living with my parents it's pretty damn embarrassing to admit that I still live with them. Especially if I meet a cute girl.

Tomorrow night we're throwing our second annual Amazing Race for the youth. We've definitely gone bigger this year - anyone team who choses all the physical challenges will be pretty beat by the end of the night. Off the top of my head a few of the challenges are: cleaning a hotel room including the bathroom to the staff's approval, counting the exact number fish in a large fish tank and a pet store, a pretty demanding swimming and running relay, etc. It'd be cool to have cameras for every team and such to document their adventures, but we'll have a few photographers to spread between the teams. There is of course a prize for the winning team. It'll be a great night.

I've been having problems with my iPod battery lately. I'm not sure if I need to get it replaced or not. Some days it'll only last 4 hours before dying. Or it'll last for 4 hours, turn itself off thinking that it's dead, and then be good for at least 4 more hours afterwards. For now I've reset it to the factory settings, erasing all the music on it, and I've been running it through Apple's battery tests. It definitely seems to be lasting longer during the test than when I use it during the day at work. Since I haven't had my iPod, I've been listening to come Christian radio stations on iTunes and some gaming related podcasts.

Here's a list of some artists that I've been diggin' lately since they've released new albums recently - Tree63, Downhere, Bethany Dillon and Chris Tomlin. I need to get my hands on Starfield's latest as well. I'll have to check iTunes to see if they have it yet.

Matthew.
