To Draw or Not To Draw?
I seem to have a bit of artists' block I guess. I've been playing with the header of my blog for so long I don't even feel like starting on the extra little graphics. Maybe I'm waiting for inspiration? Maybe I need a field trip! Take a day off work and just play at all the playgrounds I can find... okay, maybe not that extreme. But it might be worth spending some time just taking photos of a playground.
That idea brings me around to the camera I keep thinking I should buy but don't know if I'd use. I don't have a particular one in mind, but a digital SLR is definitely appealing because it provides the most flexibility. But as with all the other "toys" I buy, will I use it on a regular basis? If I don't well then I can't really justify the expense.
Last Wednesday I went to view a house on the outskirts of town. There's no sewage or water out there so it had a well and septic bed in the back yard. Actually I think the well was in the basement. The yard was huge and it had a garage, but the house was in pretty rough shape. The basement was pretty much all chipboard, including a run down bathroom in a corner where the sump pump is. So yeah, definitely not what I was looking for. I was quite depressed when I got home and answered my parents questions about the place. I haven't been that depressed in a while really. I don't remember if I watched or played something or what, but afterwards I started work on the blog design. It felt good to accomplish something like that since I'm not the most creative person.
