Mildly Annoyed

[rant] I hate trees! All they do is put crap on my car: pollen, leaves, buds, and sap. There can't be any worse feeling then washing your car in the evening, even taking the time to shammy it off, and then waking up in the morning to find it covered in pollen and finding a nice thick, gooey, glob of sap on it. Sure trees are nice cause they provide us oxygen and shade but they just don't belong beside a driveway. Oh and don't get me started on birds and how their droppings just happen to hit the newest, shiniest car in the parking lot. What's the point of bothering to wash my car? It feels like such a futile exercise. [/rant]

I spent this weekend with what I believed to be a cold. I'm still not completely sure what I had since it could have been a bad case of allergies. Friday night at youth we were to take them go-karting and mini-putting. I was really looking forward to that since I've never been go-karting. But alas I had to stay home and try and nurse myself back to health. If anyone notices any immune systems up for sale on e-Bay, please let me know.

Matthew.

  • That's pretty funny... er... I mean... I feel so bad for you.... and the pollen thing.
When I was visiting Calgary a friend and I were sitting on the grass in a park and we got that sticky stuff all over butts. My capri's still have a couple of greenish yellow spots...

  • I think it's a proven fact that birds tend to do their business on shiny, new cars. The whole pollen thing is a big pain in the butt as well - I hear about pollen and bird business almost every single day where I work. My boss washed his car once - took the time to dry it and wax it - the whole nine yards...I went outside for something, noticed a bird had done its business on his car. I told him, and he was enraged.

You're not alone in this, my friend. :)

As per Amy's comment - I remember when I was a kid, we had a huge tree in our front yard. I remember getting all the gunk all over me...little sappy bits would be stuck to my arms, legs, back, butt and all over my clothes.

    Ahh...memories...LOL
