Hey gang, despite not being online at all since last week I'm still alive. I'm still fighting this cold thing. I ended up awake most of the night Sunday coughing quite violently. I know my mom wasn't too pleased with my Monday morning since I kept her up. Not getting much sleep I decided to stay home and ended up sleeping for the majority of the day. When I wasn't sleeping I watched an episode or two of the second season of 24.
Saturday I viewed two houses. They were both quite nice houses. A lot nicer than most people's idea of what a first house should look like. One house was older but really well maintained. Because the house in on a hill the layout is pretty interesting. If they hadn't raised the price by twelve grand last week it might have put an offer in already. The other house was only 6 years old, with a double garage, but in a very run down neighborhood. Put the house somewhere else in the city and you might get another sixty grand for it. I think I'll keep an eye on the first house and see what happens. It's been on the market since June and they raise their price now? Kinda strange.
Tuesday and Wednesday I was at a conference here in town for work. The conference involved presentations by six software vendors. As part of a new government initiative, all school boards in the province need to look at a new database and reporting tools solution. Some vendors only offered the database model while others only offered the reporting tools. I think we've narrowed things down to two vendors, but it's hard to say. I'm just glad I'm not the one making the final decision since we'll have to live with the solution for years.
Anywho... I should get back to work. I really hope I can kick this cough soon since Blizzard, basically the same thing as Avalanche but for high schoolers, is coming up in just over a week.
