An Avalanche Is Coming
Not much new going on around here. Aside from the craziness of work, which was partially my own fault, it's been pretty quiet. But I know that quiet won't last long. Why not? Cause this weekend, Steve, Alana, and I, are bringing the junior youth, grades 7 & 8, to Avalanche.
It's a fairly large retreat, involving Baptist churches from all over Ontario. I've never been before so it should be pretty interesting. Avalanche is being help at Muskoka Woods Sport Resort so there will be plenty for the youth to do when they aren't in teaching sessions. They have a skateboard park, but you won't catch me on one of those. Heh heh. I'll pop my head in I'm sure since some of our boys are into skate boarding. They also have a climbing wall which I'd like to try out. I'm sure there will be plenty of floor hockey as well which I'm all for.
We leave tomorrow at 5pm and drive about 2 and a half hours. Steve rented a van so we'll all be traveling together. The ride should be pretty "eventful" considering how hyper our group can get. I'm sure the ride back home Sunday afternoon will be pretty quiet though since lights out is 12:30 every night.
I'm sure I'll have plenty to say when I get back. And hopefully some pictures. I have to get myself a digital camera one of these days. Pray for us as we travel to and from Avalanche and while we're there. Sports resorts plus hyper youth usually means injuries. :)
