Going To The Chapel

Well summer wedding season has officially started for me. I'll be going to my cousin's wedding on Saturday. Seeing all the family should be fun. As far as I'm aware it will be a traditional wedding, but then I haven't heard much about the festivities. All I know is that it's time to get out the old suit. It's been a while since I last wore it. That and a tie. I hope it's not too warm out on Saturday. And then two weeks from now - the 1st weekend in June - will be my buddy Toby's wedding. The band is going to be doing the processional/recessional stuff which will definitely be a first for me - playing at a wedding. The song they want as they walk down the aisle together is "We Are the Champions". So yeah... definitely not a traditional wedding. ;)

Health-wise I've been doing okay I guess. I've been pretty fatigued this week and nauseous. I went to see my specialist and he's pretty happy that I figured out that dairy is part of my problem. Doesn't mean my problems are over though. Colitis isn't really something that you can get rid of. He was a little concerned that my meds are still making me nauseous so he's had me change things around a bit. If the side effects are still happening in another two week then he'll start to get me off the pills.

Yesterday I went to have some blood taken for a physical. I'm pretty sure I've never had tests done for cholesterol and blood sugar and the like. So I had to fast for 12 hrs, get my blood drawn, eat a "well balanced meal", and then have my blood drawn again exactly 2 hrs after my last mouthful. I ended up having two difference women take my blood. My left arm has a nickel-sized bruise while my right has nothing but a red mark from the needle. Too bad I can't pick the nurse when I go in. I swear, if they offered air miles at that clinic I'd have enough by now to take at least one trip into the States. Pretty soon it will be like Cheers for me and everyone will know my name.

Matthew.
